Description
Español: Arca principal del antiguo acueducto de San Telmo, en la calle Refino, Málaga, España. El arca o alcubilla es una construcción de ladrillo del siglo XVIII del arquitecto Martín de Aldehuela, restaurada en 2018, de planta pentagonal de 2.5 metros de lado y de 4.2 de alto. Cuenta con una cubierta a cuatro aguas de teja vidriada en alternancia blanco y negro para los paños, y verde para los cantos y los bordes, rematada por un jarrón cerámico; en el frontal, de una sola calle flanqueada por pilastras y dos alturas, luce el escudo episcopal y una placa conmemorativa dedicada al obispo Molina Lario, promotor del acueducto. Bajo esta placa, el arca cuenta con una hornacina ejecutada con posterioridad, protegida por una reja de hierro, que alberga una imagen de la Divina Pastora. La restauración de 2018 permitió descubrir que el arca se concibió como un homenaje al obispo Molina Lario y rescató las pinturas murales que decoran sus fachadas.[1]
