Description
Español: Panel informativo junto al arca principal del antiguo acueducto de San Telmo, en la calle Postigos, Málaga, España. Junto a los emblemas de la Asociación de Amigos del Aqüeducto de San Telmo y del Círculo Socio-Cultural Capuchinos, se lee el siguiente texto: «Esta es el arca principal del / Acueducto de San Telmo / construido por el obispo de Málaga / D. José Molina Lario en 1782. / Aquí concluían los 11 km del acueducto. / El 7 de septiembre de 1784 llegó / por primera vez el agua a este arca / Desde este mismo lugar se repartían las aguas por tuberías hacia las arcas / secundarias y a todas las fuentes de la ciudad, concluyendo en una toma en / el puerto de Málaga donde se suministraba a los diferentes buques que / atracaban. Los de la Armada española recibían el agua gratuitamente y a los / mercantes se les cobraba un canon. En la inauguración de acueducto / sonaron todas las campanas de la ciudad. Estuvo funcionando hasta / mediados del siglo XX».
