Description

Scarce Umber - Macro No 225 for the year and probably the last! Well I went ahead and trapped again whilst it was still mild enough to do so, come the morning it was a tad misty and with a cool breeze blowing, I had a feeling that I wouldn't have anything in the trap. I was nearly right! with just a Satellite in the bottom, but on inspection of the fences around the garden (something I urge people to do) I found a Scarce Umber, it been a year first. I had only one last year in the garden, so it was great to see another one a year on.

Interestingly this was the last species of moth I recorded in 2012, so this might be the end.....
