Deutsch: Schönheide: Der Turm der Martin-Luther-Kirche (43,5 Meter hoch). Karl Hammerdörfer schreibt in seinem Buch „Beiträge zur innern Kenntnis und Geschichte Sachsens“, Leipzig 1786, S. 135 f.: „Die ganz neue Kirche ist schön und hat einen proportionirlichen Thurm …“ Die Formulierung läßt offen, ob sie die Proportionen, das Verhältnis zwischen Höhe des Dachfirsts und Turmhöhe für angemessen oder eher für unglücklich hält, wie es vielfach bewertet wird. Das Kirchenschiff war im dritten Drittel des 18. Jahrhunderts nach einem Einsturz neu gebaut worden, während der Turm im Wesentlichen unverändert stehen geblieben sein soll. Das Kirchenschiff mit seinen drei Emporen war viel höher geworden als der Vorgängerbau. So entsteht für Betrachtende – die üblichen Proportionen von Turm und Kirchenschiff im Kopf – eine ungewohnte Spannung. Das Foto zeigt die große Schar von Kirchgängern vor der Kirche nach dem Konfirmationsgottesdienst im Jahr 2014. |
