Summary[edit]

Afmetingen: 3,91 bij 2,82 meter (een van de grootste familieportretten van Nederland). Het bestaat uit twee panelen (bij een latere samenvoeging iets verschoven) en was mogelijk oorspronkelijk bedoeld voor het stedelijk huis van de familie. Lange tijd lag het als een stuk linnen opgevouwen in een kist, alvorens het in 1928 werd herontdekt. De vouwen zijn nog zichtbaar. Het hangt sinds 1991 in de borg Verhildersum nadat de familie het portret in 1989 schonk en het werd gerestaureerd.[1]
