Description
Deutsch: Schmerzensmann um 1520. Detailaufnahme einer Skulptur aus der Marienkapelle der Brühler Schlosskirche St. Maria von den Engeln. Die Arbeit wird dem Kölner Bildschnitzer Wilhelm von Arborch zugerechnet. Die Figur ist heute durch einen Mantel geschmückt, der zu Bginn des 20. Jahrhunderts von Barutzky geschaffen und durch Philipp Ernst, dem Vater von Max Ernst, polychrondiert wurde. Literatur: Wolfgang Drösser in "St. Maria von den Engeln in Brühl", Brühl 2002
