Deutsch: Bei Ebbe fließt hier Wasser vom oberen Bereich des Bildes nach unten. Dort wo das auf der Sandoberfläche fließende Wasser auf das stehende Wasser eine großen Gezeitenpfütze trifft, sinkt plötzlich die Fließgeschwindigkeit. Zuerst fallen damit die schwere Sandkörner auf den Boden, die leichteren Muschelschalen werden noch etwas weiter transportiert. In der Geologie spricht man von einem sogenannten Schwemmkegel. Sie treten auch in Gebirgen oder als gigantische Flussdeltas auf. In Sedimenten haben sie zum Teil Jahrmillionen alte Spuren hinterlassen. |
