| Description |
English: Railroad Avenue (later Alaskan Way), Seattle, Washington, USA, looking north (actually a bit west of north) from the foot of Marion Street, 1934. At extreme left is the old waterfront firehouse, on the same location as its present-day replacement. Most of the piers and quite a few of the buildings remain, but of course this view was radically altered by the Alaskan Way Viaduct and will soon be altered again by the demolition of that viaduct.
