Description
Español: Extremo meridional del transepto de la Catedral de Sevilla. Arturo Mélida (1891-1892) presenta un monumental sepulcro para contener los restos de Cristóbal Colón, destinado a la Catedral de La Habana. Desde 1902 ocupa este lugar en la Catedral de Sevilla. Cuatro mancebos reales, bronce policromado y alabastro, representantes de los reinos de España, portan un sepulcro que contiene una urna con los restos del enigmático personaje. Probablemente Mélida estudió la escultura funeraria borgoñesa.
