Description

Plenário do Senado durante sessão especial destinada a celebrar os dez anos da Lei nº 12.711/2012, também conhecida como Lei de Cotas.

Aprovada pelo Congresso e sancionada em 2012, a Lei 12.711, de 2012, é um instrumento que foi criado pelo Governo Federal para contemplar os estudantes de escolas públicas, de baixa renda, negros, pardos e indígenas (PPI) e pessoas com deficiência (PcD) para auxiliar o ingresso desses indivíduos no Ensino Superior.

À mesa, em pronunciamento, professor de História, cofundador da Uneafro Brasil e membro da Coalizão Negra por Direitos, Douglas Belchior.
