| Description |
English: Shaw Cote Farm, Low Abbotside, Wensleydale Shaw Cote Farm is a mixed dairy and sheep farm on the gently rising north slopes of Wensleydale. Like many of the farms there is pasture for summer grazing and hay and a large area of fell for the sheep.The geology of the grid square is complex with shake holes and some limestone quarrying. At the highest northern part there is evidence of early lead mining. |
