English: Shops on Watling Street Thaxted. Nikolaus Pevsner liked Thaxted because although he considered that there are few outstanding buildings "..the town as a whole is very perfect, chiefly because there is truly not one house in it that would appear violently out of place." Here there is a shop in a cottage, and one with a double shop-front of traditional style. |
