Summary[edit]

Description
English: In the autumn of 2022 this piece of siege money is on display in the National Civil War Centre in Newark-on-Trent. The description of the piece is as follows: "Between February and July 1645 Scarborough Castle was besieged by Parliamentarian forces led by John Meldrum who was killed there. This siege piece shows the castle and has OBS Sarborough 1645 scratched on the reverse. It was worth one shilling and sixpence".
