Summary
[edit]DescriptionSigma Mini-Wide 28mm F2.8 (Nikon F).png |
English: The Sigma Mini-Wide 28mm F2.8 is a film-era, manual-focus prime lens that was in production from 1978 to 1985, and available for all popular 35 mm SLR systems of the day. It has a 28 mm focal length, maximum magnification of 1:4.5 and minimum focus distance of 0.22 meters. The front element is threaded for a 52 mm lens hood or filter and fixed thanks to internal focusing. Weight comes in at about 230 grams with the OEM lens hood. On Nikon bodies, the lens relies on a mechanical aperture coupling for metering resp. automatic exposure. On cheaper models in the D3xxx or D5xxx lineup, or old entry-level 35 mm film cameras such as the F-401, the Sigma can be used only in full manual mode requiring on-the-fly calculations or an external light meter. |
