Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stef and Bernd, Matavenero, Spain: "We changed our lives completely as we were fed up with the common way to live which was just to live in order to buy things and to eat. We didn’t have the feeling we could decide for ourselves as somebody always decides for you and you feel very empty, you realize you have lived many years to live empty. We came to live here because we really wanted to experience it all and feel alive. The original idea of what this community was about is slowly disappearing as everyone wants what the other has. In the old days, we had a talking stick like what the Indians have at meetings but that has gone. In the beginning, the feeling was very nice, it was a spot to have an idealistic thing, not religion and it is slowly fading and very sad but we would like to reanimate it and we are working on this. Like bringing back nature songs, to be a creator in a way, this is a godly attribute that goes on here, we all bear this attribute within us but need to reanimate it, to create a new world, we are the creators of our own reality, it’s very important as if we create our own world we create our own future. The world we know is not able to recuperate and heal itself. We need to live off-grid so the world can heal itself, in comparisons to smart cities which I think is terrible, because it puts you in an artificial world where you don’t have access to wild nature which your soul needs. A park does not fulfil my needs like the wild and I think this is the reason there are many family and drug problems and sicknesses, especially skin sicknesses because they don’t have access to the wild."
