English: General cargo ship SILJAN (IMO 5327879) built at Schiffswerft C. Lühring, Hammelwarden, for Rederi A/B Bertil Skanse & Co., Skärhamn (yard № 523, launched: 05-11-1952, delivered: 12-1952, 406 GRT, 520 dwt, 45.0m loa), 1959 lengthened (489 GRT, 680 dwt, 51.41m loa), 1960 JANE (M. Husso, Åbo/Turku), 1961 SILJAN (Rederiet for m.s. ”Siljan” Wilhelm Pettersson, Skärhamn), 1965 re-engined (MWM 4 stroke 6 cyl.(320×480) 800 bhp, 588 kW, 10,5 kn), 1971 SILJAN (Nils Kleppe Partrederi, Skärhamn), 1972 SILJAN (Edgar L.J.Olofsson Partrederi, Skärhamn), 1974 remeasured (496 GRT, 691 dwt), 1976 SILJAN (Lucia Shipping Co. Ltd., Raimond Baudino, Valletta), 18-10-1987 sustained severe constructional damage in heavy weather (Ipswich-Oslo) and towed to Harlingen, later sold to K. Koehorn & Son, Kiesterziel, for scrapping, renamed JAN after demolition was cancelled, 01-1988 JAN (North Sea Shipping & Trading Co., San Lorenzo), 08-1988 transferred from Harlingen to Westerbroek under own power for repairs and renovation of accommodation, 1988 MARJA (North Sea Shipping & Trading Co., San Lorenzo), 1988 remeasured (491 GRT, 525 dwt), 17-11-1991 engine room burnt out whilst at Brake, repairs not economical, later towed to Delfzijl, 07-09-1992 sold to Foppe de Haan, Groningen, and hulked as a floating shop at Gronigen, 2002 hulk sold to Stichting Petit Mbao, Gronigen (Petit Mbao Foundation), 21-05-2002 lying at Niestern Sander BV, Delfzijl, for grit blasting and service, 2003 hulk renamed OUR WORLD (Stichting Petit Mbao, Gronigen), 08-2008 hulk renamed MV OUR WORLD (Stichting Petit Mbao); collection J. Robert Boman (1926 - 2002) owned by Sjöhistoriska museet.
