| Description |
English: Slipway and seaweed Small slipways like this are used to land seaweed harvested from the shallow and sheltered waters of this extraordinary island-filled bay. There is a mass of flotsam at the high-tide mark, but also two bundles tied with blue rope. These are gathered by hand-cutting the seaweed at low spring tides and towed by boat on the flood to the slipway for collection by lorry-mounted grab. |
