| Description |
English: Sluice gates controlling the flow to the Lade. This is where most village people learnt to swim due to the absence of swimming baths in the region up to the late Sixties. I learnt to swim here myself and apart from the occasional drowned dog muddying the waters my memories of those days are much treasured. |
