English: Advertisement for the Ariel Ordinary bicycle by Smith, Starley & Co. Patented in 1870 by James Starley and William Hillman, the Company manufactured it until 1874 when it licenced sole production to Haynes & Jefferis, Ariel Works, Coventry.
