Summary[edit]

Description
English: German-language city map of Smyrna (now Izmir), Turkey, 1903. The insert on the left lists all seven national post offices that were then operating in that thriving, multiethnic city.
The Turkish (Ottoman), British, French, Greek, Austro-Hungarian, Russian and German post offices -- as well as the Italian post office which opened in 1908 -- were all grouped in the same area which has been highlighted with a yellow oval(highlight not part of the map). There were also other Turkish post offices in the city.
