Čeština: Josef Ullmann - z životopisu
  • 13.6.1870 – †31.5.1922, český malíř, žák J. Mařáka. Autor náladových krajin (Březový háj). V pozdním období se přiklonil k impresionismu (Západ slunce v polích, Podjaří).
Narodil se 13. 6. 1870 v Nekmíři na Plzeňsku a zemřel 31. 5. 1922 na Vinohradech. Maloval především krajiny na Vinohradech, poté odešel za studiem do Mnichova. Později se stal žákem pražské akademie výtvarného umění u prof. Pirnera a J. Mařáka. Vystavoval zpočátku rozměrné krajiny v Rudolfině, později menší krajiny, jež zachycují náladu atmosféry. Ve svých dílech znázorňuje lesní tišiny podle vzoru Mařáka. Teprve v letech 1918 až 1929 tvoří krajiny po způsobu impressionistů (technika barevných skvrn). Vrcholné období jeho činnosti nastává koncem světové války, kdy zejména vznikají jeho výhledy do širého kraje.
