Description
Deutsch: Das Soldatengrab von Erich Dorusch († 28.03.1945) bei Elsenfeld. Der Obergefreite fiel an dieser Stelle bei Rückzugsgefechten der deutschen Wehrmacht mit der vorrückenden US-Armee. Der Splitter einer Amerikanischen Panzergranate durchschlug Doruschs Stahlhelm. Seine Leiche wurde auf dem Heldenfriedhof in Gemünden beigesetzt.
English: The soldier's grave of Erich Dorusch († March 28, 1945) near Elsenfeld. The corporal died at this point during rearguard action between the German Wehrmacht (defence force) and the advancing US Army. The fragments of an American tank shell penetrated Dorusch's steel helmet. His body was buried in the Heroes' Cemetery in Gemünden.
