| Description |
English: Spoil heap, near Melton Mowbray. Even though Asfordby Mine didn't produce any coal by the time it was closed in 1998 many tons of spoil had been produced during its construction. This is now beginning to be reclaimed, (see the young trees on the slope in the centre of this photograph), and there has been a suggestion that this could be a site for a wind farm. |
