Deutsch: Die Siedlung St. Jakob an der Birs mit dem Flussübergang, 1657. Die markante Gebäudemasse ist das Siechenhaus, knapp darüber befindet sich die Kirche. Auf der anderen Seite der Strasse von links nach rechts: Zoll- oder Wirtshaus, Ziegelhütte, Wasserturm und Schäferei. Das Gewässer, das quer durch das Bild fließt, ist der St. Albanteich, oberhalb davon sind die zwei Walken. (Ausschnitt aus einem Plan des Flusses Birs von 1657. Original im Staatsarchiv Basel-Stadt.) |
