Summary[edit]

Description
English: The St. Stanislaus Convent, 562 Fillmore Avenue, Buffalo, New York, June 2020. An example of architect Władysław Zawadzki's work in the Colonial Revival style, you notice the strict symmetry of the Fillmore Avenue façade, the polygonal bay windows on the first floor, the subtle Gothic detailing in the stone entrance (much of which is unfortunately hidden by foliage), and - above all - the prominent eave returns shared by all gables. The building was erected in 1917 to serve as home of the Felician Franciscan Sisters who minister to the congregation at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, and remains in that function today.
