Description Embroidered church kneeler in St Anne's Church, Kew, Surrey, displaying the coat of arms of Prince Adolphus Frederick, 1st Duke of Cambridge (1774-1850), 7th son of King George III of the United Kingdom (used from 1801 to 1850). Being the royal arms of King George III of the United Kingdom (the inescutcheon of Hanover omitting both the inescutcheon of the Arch-Treasurer of the Holy Roman Empire and the surmounted royal crown of Hanover) differenced by a label argent the first and third points charged with two hearts gules the second point charged with a cross gules (Cross of St George). Here depicting the inescutcheon of Hanover including erroneously the inescutcheon of the Arch-Treasurer of the Holy Roman Empire. St Anne's Church, Kew, was the church used by the royal family when living at Kew Palace, and was the place where the marriage took place between Francis, Duke of Teck and Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge, the younger daughter of Prince Adolphus Frederick, 1st Duke of Cambridge.
