English: St Mary's Church, Tasburgh, Norfolk - Monument against south chancel wall, to Thomas Baxter, patron of this church, who died 3 December 1611, aged 75. (Source: Farrer, Edmund, Church Heraldry of Norfolk, Vol 1 (1885), pp.205-6 [1] quoting: Blomefield, Norfolk, Vol.5, p.213)

  • Left: Argent, on a pale sable three plates a bordure of the second (Baxter) (bezants per Farrer and per Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.59) impaling: Argent, a fret sable (Tolmache/Tollemache, Earl of Dysart)
  • Centre: Baxter impaling: Azure, a wivern wings expanded or (Drake of Hardley)
  • Right: Baxter impaling: Chequy sable and gules, on a bend argent three eagles of the first (Bludworth; not listed in Burke for Bludworth or Bloodworth, pp.92-3) (re-painted since Farrer's visit)
  • Top: 4 shields which were blank when seen by Farrer in 1885, since repainted as follows, left to right:
  • 1: Baxter
  • 2: Drake
  • 3: Tolmache
  • 4: Bludworth
