| Description |
English: St Peter's church. St Peter's church is situated on an elevation above the village of Hedenham. Its tower is unbuttressed and tapers slightly. There are three C13 lancet windows in the north wall of the nave, the chancel dates from the 14th century - it has an exterior C18 wall tablet on the south wall. The south porch dates from the 14th century with the timber framework of its original roof still in place. A medieval stone coffin lid can be seen in the churchyard just west of the priest door > 140574. The south door > 1405741 is 500 years old and locked. |
