Turndl - Friedensturm Der bekannte Eggenburger Künstler Ernst Degasperi gestaltete das Turndl beim Kloster in den 1970er Jahren zum Turm des Friedens oder Friedensturm um. Der Künstler zeigt in beeindruckender Vielfalt und friedlicher Koexistenz Symbole des Friedens in der Geschichte und berühmte Bauwerke. Die untere Zone bilden Tiere aus dem 20 Millionen Jahre alten Eggenburger Meer. Von links: das Gemalte Haus in Eggenburg, der Wiener Stephansdom, der Felsendom in Jerusalem, die Menorah (Siebenarmiger Leuchter), dahinter die Knesset (Israelisches Parlament in Tel Aviv), die Basiliuskathedrale (Kreml) in Moskau, die Pfarrkirche St. Stephan in Eggenburg und die Wallfahrtskirche Maria Dreieichen.English: Turndl beim Kloster - Friedensturm (tower near the monastery - peace tower) of the east side of the city wall of Eggenburg, Lower Austria.
