Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stages in the development of the Blaeberry. A beautiful fruit; especially complementing vanilla flavoured ice cream! Also known as the Bilberry or Whortleberry this plant thrives on acid soil and is a great provider for the honey bee. Its leaves are also the food of moth larvae and in autumn the sweet black berries provide a rich harvest for the birds, especially the grouse.
