Ελληνικά: Συνονθύλευμα νεφελωμάτων και σμηνών αστέρων. Ξεχωρίζει το σμήνος αστέρων Starfish (M38), αριστερά κάτω, ενώ δεξιά ξεχωρίζουν τα νεφελώματα Ι 405, Ι 410 και Ι 417. English: Starfish star cluster on the left. On the right, one can distinguish IC 405, IC 410, and IC 417 nebulae.
Italiano: Campo stellare nella costellazione dell'Auriga, che raccoglie quattro ammassi aperti, il più grande dei quali è M38, in prossimità del bordo inferiore sinistro. Subito alla sua destra, è presente l'ammasso NGC 1907. In prossimità del centro del bordo inferiore dell'immagine, sono presenti gli ammassi Stock 8 (visivamente prossimo alla stella Phi Aurigae) e NGC 1893, cui sono rispettivamente associate le nebulose a emissione IC 417 e IC 410, anch'esse visibili nell'immagine. Più centrale, è visibile una terza nebulosa, IC 405, illuminata dalla stella AE Aurigae. L'asterismo visibile tra le due nebulose è composto dalle stelle (da sinistra a destra) 19, 18, IQ, AR e 16 Aurigae. Più scostata, in prossimità del bordo destro, è visibile 14 Aurigae. La posizione degli oggetti descritti è segnalata anche con l'uso delle note. |
