| Description |
Although the word "subminiature" is pretty self-explanatory, I'm continually surprised at how small these cameras are when I receive one. The Steky is no exception. It was made by Riken (Japan), who also made the Ricohflex. This example is the third model, stamped "Made in Occupied Japan" on the bottom, which would presumably indicate that it was made before The San Francisco Peace Treaty was signed (September 8, 1951) or took effect (April 28, 1952). The camera features interchangeable lenses, variable shutter and aperture speeds, and a yellow filter, seen here in its storage place on the side of the camera. A popular collectible due to its styling and high quality. |
