[edit]Stinson Leading Air Tour Fliers. Dallas, Texas, July 9, 1927. Thirteen airplanes of the national air tour left Dallas at one minute intervals, beginning at 10 a.m. today for Oklahoma City. From there they will go to Tulsa and Wichita, Kansas. Eddie Stinson, dean of fliers, piloting a Stinson Detroiter biplane, was away in front with a point total of 6,673.8. His nearest competitor was Randolph C. Page, in a Hamilton monoplane, with a total of 5,661.5.
