Summary[edit]

Description
English: When an elastic string under constant tension is shortened to half its original length the frequency is doubled - That's the Octave Ratio. When shortened to two thirds the frequency or pitch is raised to three halves its original value. That's the Perfect Fifth Ratio. The relation between frequency and string length is exact and inverse
