| Description |
English: Sunshine Valley Trail Cycle and pedestrian route currently marked as a permissive footpath on the OS maps. The route follows the course of the old railway between Shanklin and Wroxall. The line was originally opened as an extension from Shanklin to Ventnor in 1866 but was closed in 1966. There has been talk of reopening the section but seems to have dissipated since the Island Line was privatised and taken over by Stagecoach in the 1990s. |
