Summary[edit]

Description
English: The principle is similar to that of loudspeakers with a moving coil through which a current flows and moved by the Laplace force in an air gap magnetized by a permanent magnet and a magnetic carcass to guide the magnetic flux.

To increase storage capacity, multiple disks are stacked.

Diameter of disc stack = 14 inches.
Français : Le principe est semblable à celui des haut-parleurslinear avec une bobine mobile parcourue par un courant et déplacée par la force de Laplace dans un entrefer magnétisé par un aimant permanent et une carcasse magnétique pour guider le flux magnétique.

Pour augmenter la capacité de stockage, on empile plusieurs disques.
