Bahasa Indonesia: Tarik tambang merupakan permainan olahraga tradisional yang mempergunakan seutas tambang dengan ukuran tertentu sebagai alat mengadu kekuatan untuk saling menarik antara regu yang satu dengan regu yang lain. Olahraga tradisional tarik tambang dimainkan secara beregu, baik putera maupun puteri. Jumlah anggota regu disesuaikan dengan keadaan, satu penyelenggara dengan penyelenggara yang lain tidak pasti harus sama. Sebagaimana permainan tradisional lainnya, permainan tarik tambang ini sangat dikenal oleh hampir seluruh masyarakat Indonesia dan sering dilombakan selain pada acara peringatan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia pada bulan Agustus, permainan ini juga sering dilakukan pada peringatan hari jadi Kabupaten atau Kota bahkan pada perayaan hari besar agama. |
