English: Revista ensayística de filosofía y literatura argentina que se publica bimestralmente. Sus textos—literarios, políticos, antropológicos, filosóficos, económicos, artísticos— tienen como eje principal la crítica al capitalismo como sistema económico mundial y a la modernidad como época caracterizada por la hegemonía del eurocentrismo.
La publicación autónoma de la revista, sin apoyo económico de empresas o partidos políticos, les ha permitido a sus redactores lanzar críticas no sólo a la democracia liberal, sino también al periodismo del establishment y a la banalización estética. Significado del nombre Si bien sus escritores nunca brindaron demasiados detalles, en el manifiesto publicado en el primer número se puede apreciar la intención de vincular la serpiente— deidad de varias comunidades indígenas— con las plumas como elemento hacia “lo alto, lo sagrado y lo bello”. Principales influencias A pesar de la vinculación que se les hizo con el marxismo, la comunidad que forma parte de la publicación nunca se declaró marxista, sino de izquierda. Aunque hay elementos de pensadores como Gramsci o del ideario anarquista, los autores más citados son siempre pensadores nacionales, desde Kusch y Dussel hasta Cooke y Adamovsky. |
