Summary
[edit]DescriptionTaking a nap - geograph.org.uk - 1121129.jpg |
English: Taking a nap Greylag goose in winter cereal crop. Greylag geese (Anser anser) are migratory birds, moving south or west in winter. Their numbers have declined, breeding wild only in the Outer Hebrides and on the northern mainland of Scotland but feral populations have been established throughout the country during the 20th century, having now re-colonised much of England. They prefer wetlands, marshes, lakes, and damp heather moors. |
