| Description |
English: Tank defences at Pershore Old Bridge Looking north-west from the bridge across the B4084 to Pershore town. The crossing here was recognised as important in World War II. It was defended by these concrete anti-tank barriers as well as two pill boxes and a six-pounder gun emplacement. These structures were rolled into the road and placed upright. They could be easily removed, but the idea was to attack from the side any soldiers trying to move the barriers. |
