Description
English: The Tarasundari temple is situated at Bamair village in Hemtabad block under Raiganj sub-division of Uttar Dinajpur district. The Maharajas of Dinajpur took the initiative to establish the temple. Baidyanath Chowdhury & the Maharaja of Dinajpur built the temple. It is said that the temple was constructed in the year 1760 A.D. The temple is south facing. The floor of the temple is of square shape. There is a 40 ft high semi-circular dome on the top of the temple.

The West Bengal Heritage Commission declared it as heritage in 2011. Renovation of the temple is complete.

Though the exploration was mainly on Dakshin Dinajpur some parts of Uttar Dinajpur was covered too.
