Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Teignmouth Seafront from the Pier. Teignmouth has for a long time been a small port exporting clay and granite from the docks at the mouth of the River Teign. This photograph however shows the town seafront - Teignmouth as a tourist town. The tourism industry started here in the 1840's when the Great Western Railway line came through the town bringing visitors and revitalising the fortunes of the town. |
