Title: Dome panel

Material: Lime stone

Size: 90 x 94 cm

Period: 2nd - 3rd century A.D.

Provenance: Uppugundur, Prakasham district.

Acc. no. : P.5392

The panel depicts the seated Buddha under a Bodhitree in preaching attitude which is shown prominently in the centre of the panel. Two devotees are shown are shown below him in Anjali posture. Above it, is a scene showing the worship of Dharma chakra. The scene is flanked on both sides with a devotee and a dwarf carrying basket full of fruits besides garland bearers, seated lions, lotus medallion, pilaster and Poornakumbha motifs.
