Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg, Pennsylvania June 26, 1963 2:30pm Telegraphic Message Official Business U. S. Government George W. Hill, Executive Director Texas State Historical Survey Committee 112 E. 18th Street Austin, Texas Retel Texas memorial plans approved here and forwarded through Regional Office in Philadelphia for approval by the Director in Washington. Unless changes necessary final approval should be forthcoming in about two weeks. Kittridge A. Wing Superintendent Gettysburg NMP (Handwritten on Telegram message:) Plan & inscription handcarried to WASO by Dr. Tilberg 6/27/63 (Handwritten and attached to Telegram) Supt. 1 pm 6/26 Austin Texas must know today about permission for erection of Texas Memorial. Account letting state contract please wire sign Geo. W. Hill Texas State Historical Committee 112 E 18th St. This handwritten note is signed “Wing” describing the essential message he telegrammed to Mr. Hill. Retel Texas memorial plans approved here and forwarded through regional office in Philadelphia for approval by the Director in Washington.
