Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Admiral MacBride - Plymouth Barbican - geograph.org.uk - 1397925.jpg |
English: The Admiral MacBride - Plymouth Barbican MacBride was a Scot who became MP for Plymouth after serving with distinction in the Royal Navy where he was active against French privateers of the time.
It is believed that the original Mayflower steps from which the Pilgrim Fathers embarked on their voyage to the New World are buried under the pub. The road in front of the pub is of 'recent' origin as are the current set of steps and jetty. |
