| Description |
English: The Brick Edge of the Old Canal Wharf at The Narrows The fact that the concrete is at a lower level than the edge of the Wharf, and is now under water may be an indication that (a) the wharf was no longer in use when The Narrows were constructed and (b) the top of the concrete was originally above water level and has risen because of the significant silting up since the canal was closed over 100 years ago. |
