Summary[edit]

Description
English: The monument dates to the 4th century B.C. and was built by Lysicrates the sponsor of a theatrical play that won first place at the religious festivities of the Dionysia to commemorate his victory. On the top of the monument was placed the bronze tripod he was awarded as his prize.
