Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe Deviation.jpg |
English: Iarll Meirionnydd with the regular scheduled service crossing the bridge under which it had passed to arrive at Dduallt Halt. After leaving the halt it follows this spiral to gain height as the restored railway had to engineer a new higher route as the original one is now flooded by the Tan-y-grisiau Reservoir.
The Double-Fairlie's were introduced in the 1860s and proved perfect for the gradients and loads on this line. The locomotives are still being built as new at the railway's workshop. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairlie_locomotive#Double_Fairlie_l... |
