Description
English: In this picture we can see that two Great Cormorants are fighting for their prey(fish) in water. This shows the nature of the great cormorant. This moment was also captured at Taudaha. This Cormorant migrates from Siberia all to way to Nepal. This bird is also found at many other lakes, ponds, rivers in Nepal. The Great Cormorant also called Phalacrocorax carbo or black shag or kawau is a cormorant family member of seabirds. It is a large black bird, but there is a wide variation in size in the species. The weight of this bird is reported to vary from 1.5kg to 5.3kg. Males are typically larger and heavier than females,
