Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Haynes Nano-stage, a stainless steel sculpture outside the University of Edinburgh's Informatics Forum. Unveiled on the 22nd of August 2012 by Jim Haynes, it commemorates his Paperback Bookshop which stood nearby on George Square in the 1950s and '60s. A plaque below is inscribed: "The Haynes Nano-stage" sculpture by David/ Forsyth is in celebration of the cultural richness of/ Jim Haynes' Paperback Bookshop (1959-67) and/ of the merger between the University of Edinburgh/ and Edinburgh/ College of Art (2011) which extends/ that richness many-fold.
